Professors and employees of the Department of Electronics and Energy Engineering have successfully received international grants for long-term scientific internships and conduct scientific research in the world's leading scientific institutions. For example, Dr. M. Solovan and Dr. T. Kovaliuk atUniversity of Massachusetts Lowell (Lowell, USA); Dr. V.Brus at University of California Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, USA, where 5 Nobel laureates work); Dr. M. Solovan at Politecnico di Torino(Turin, Italy); Dr. A. Mostovyi at Lund University (Lund, Sweden); Dr. V.Brus at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie GmbH (Berlin, Germany); Dr. V. Brus, Dr. M. Solovan, Dr. A. Mostovyi and Dr. G. Parkhomenko, Nazarbayev University (Astana, Kazakhstan); Dr. T. Kovaliuk at Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic).

Dr. Viktor Brus, D.Sc. (Habilitation) in Physics of Semiconductors and Dielectrics, winner of the international competition "GreenTalents 2012" (organized by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research of Germany in 2012), has completed a scientific internship at the University of California, Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, USA, where 5 Nobel laureates work) in 2014 -2015. In November 2014,Dr. V. Brus won a prestigious 2-year postdoc fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to conduct research at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie GmbH (Berlin, Germany). In 2017, Dr. V. Brus returned to Santa Barbara, after which he moved to Astana (Nazarbayev University), where he still works as an assistant Professor.
