The scientific work of the department is in one way or another connected with the specialties of training of higher education applicants provided by the department, namely:

141 - Power engineering, electrical engineering and electromechanics. In this specialty, the department specializes in the study of solar converters of electrical energy, as well as photodetectors and detectors of high-energy particles and materials for them.

174 - Automation, computer-integrated technologies and robotics. In this specialty, the department specializes in the development of electronic devices based on microcontrollers.

176 - Micro- and nanosystem technology. In this specialty, the department specializes in the study of semiconductor materials with nanoformations and the study of their physical properties with the aim of using these materials in electronics, photovoltaics, solar energy, and spintronics. In addition, electronic devices based on microsystem technology are being developed.

  1. Laboratory of chalcogenide semiconductors and heterostructures based on them

    The scientific research of the group is devoted to the development and improvement of methods for obtaining bulk crystals and thin films of chalcogenide semiconductors, the study of their physical properties, the creation of heterostructures based on these semiconductors, and the study of their electrical and photoelectric properties with the aim of using these devices in electronics, photovoltaics, solar energy, spintronics etc.

    The scientific research of the group is devoted to the development and improvement of methods for obtaining thin films of oxides, nitrides of metals and carbon-containing compounds, the study of their physical properties, the creation of heterostructures based on these materials, and the study of their electrical and photovoltaic properties with the aim of using these devices in electronics, photovoltaics, solar energy, etc. .
